All students at USC are welcome to volunteer at ATVN as writers, editors, photographers, anchors and reporters, but many classes also work in conjunction with ATVN.
Students produce all newscasts at ATVN. They're encouraged to learn and practice as many different skills as possible in order to advance and prepare for their careers. Students work with industry-standard equipment and technology including Avid iNews, Avid NewsCutter non-linear editing, Adobe Photoshop and AfterEffects. In 2009 ATVN began using Streambox technology to allow for reporter liveshots on air.[1]
